   This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share photos and related data submitted by clients and clinicians through the TACC Care app. It applies to all users who upload or transmit images as part of their interactions with our hospital.

2. Collection of Photos
   We collect photos only when:

You (as a client or clinician) upload them to document your pet’s clinical signs, treatment progress, or outcomes.

Our clinical team captures images during appointments or treatments for medical recordkeeping.

These images may include pictures of your pet, medical notes, or diagnostic results. No personal photos of clients or staff are intentionally collected unless incidental.

3. Purpose of Use
   Photos are used to:

Support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing medical care.

Facilitate remote consultations or follow-ups through the app.

Enhance continuity of care between veterinarians and healthcare teams.

Improve clinical documentation and training materials (with identifying data removed).

We do not use client-submitted photos for marketing or social media without explicit written consent.

4. Consent
   By uploading photos to TACC Care, you consent to their collection, storage, and use as described here. You may withdraw consent for future use at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent will not affect prior lawful use.

5. Storage and Security
   All images are stored on secure, encrypted servers located in Canada (or in compliance with applicable provincial privacy law).
   We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards—including access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and activity monitoring—to protect photo data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

6. Retention
   We retain photos only for as long as they are required for medical, legal, or operational purposes in accordance with veterinary recordkeeping standards and applicable law. Once no longer required, they are securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Sharing of Photos
   We may share photos only:

With our authorized veterinary staff and consultants directly involved in your pet’s care.

With diagnostic laboratories or specialists when clinically necessary.

When required by law or regulatory authorities.

We do not sell or rent any photo data.

8. User Rights
   You may request access to, correction, or deletion of photos related to your pet’s record by contacting our Privacy Officer. Requests are processed in accordance with professional and legal standards governing medical record retention.
